Building a repricing system that respects your margin
A pragmatic rules engine for eBay sellers who care about profit, not just Buy Box.
Most repricers race to the bottom by design. Ours doesn't. Here's the ruleset we run on eBay for margin-conscious brands — the one that keeps you competitive without giving away contribution profit.
Set a hard floor per SKU
Every SKU gets a minimum sell price calculated from COGS + fees + a fixed contribution margin. The repricer never crosses it. Ever. This is the single most important guardrail.
Match, don't undercut
When we're within the top 3 offers, we match the lowest. When we're outside the top 3, we drop by 1% — never more. Undercutting by pennies signals a race and other sellers accelerate.
Reprice up too
Most sellers only reprice down. When competitor stock runs out or their prices climb, we raise ours 2–5% within the ceiling. This one-line change recovers 3–8% of gross margin on high-velocity SKUs.
